Jade Leong joins Mia’s government strategy and engagement team

Mia is delighted to announce that Jade Leong has joined our government strategy and engagement team.

Jade Leong Mia

Jade Leong brings more than 13 years’ experience as a Victorian public sector professional to her role with Mia, where she will primarily advise businesses on strategies for building productive and enduring relationships with government.

Jade’s broad government experience is a terrific fit for Mia and our clients. As an alumni of the Victorian Public Service Graduate Program, she has worked in policy and industry engagement roles for several different Victorian departments and agencies. These include the former Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources, and the Department of State Development, Business and Innovation, where she delivered a whole-of-government ICT Capability Framework.

According to Jade, Mia is pretty good fit for her as well. She is passionate about both technology and industry development and, while looking for a new challenge that would encompass both of those fields, found herself talking to Mia Managing Director, Deirdre Diamante.

“Much of my career has involved industry development and policy in the technology space – largely from the perspective of helping Victoria grow as a tech leader, and driving industry development to achieve that,” Jade said. “As a government officer, I’ve worked a lot with the commercial sector to facilitate discussions around policy development, programs and capability. Now my role with Mia will involve bridging that gap from the opposite direction.”

Jade added that she feels many synergies with Mia. “The culture of an organisation is really important to me,” she said. “Talking to Deirdre, I felt Mia has the same values, ethics and morals as I do. That was an important factor in my decision to join the team.”

Mia is certainly pleased to have Jade and her insights onboard. She’ll provide a valuable contribution to the development of government engagement strategies for our clients and advising on government policy and processes. Jade will also be part of our team that provides procurement advice to government and private sector clients.

We look forward to introducing Jade to our clients and broader networks.
