Mia website recognised in global Communicator Awards

We’re delighted to announce that the team at Emote Digital has recently been recognised at the 22nd Annual Communicator Awards for its achievement in developing the Mia website.

Emote received an Award of Distinction in the “websites – government” category for the Mia site – as well as a number of additional awards for other websites. The “websites – government” category spans sites promoting all things pertaining to government affairs, including sites that enable action, offer support, and provide a link to services available by government agencies and organisations.

“We’re so excited to have won an award for the Mia website,” said Jason Stockton, Director Emote Digital. “We feel the website sets a benchmark for the industry, and the user-focused approach that assists users to find what Mia can do for them really contributed to us winning the award. We’re really pleased with the outcome of this website — and for us and Mia to win this award is great recognition for the hard work everyone put in.”

The US-based Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honouring creative excellence for communications professionals. The Communicator Awards is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms.

New Mia website features

We have also launched several new website features in the past couple of weeks – mostly to be found in the News/Blog section. The most notable of these are:

  • Blog comments – Readers can now leave comments on all Mia blog posts and news articles. We hope our readers will take advantage of this new feature to share ideas and provide feedback.
  • Blog search function – A search field has been added to the News/Blog menu page for easier navigation of past posts.
  • Categories and tags – These are now listed at the bottom of each post to enable readers to find related articles.
  • Share buttons – We’ve introduced share buttons to the bottom of each news/blog item. If you read something interesting, please spread the word.

Our congratulations and thanks to Emote Digital for their continued digital support of Mia.
